POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing the general operations of all Food Service programs, including Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and third-party contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associates degree or equivalent in Nutrition related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field preferred.
Experience:
1. A minimum of three years working in administrative/management role with grant-funded programs.
2. One year of food service management and supervisory experience.
3. Experience creating organizational structures that assist in managing multiple sites and maintaining program data.
4. Experience working with diverse populations.
Additional Requirements:
1. Serve Safe Certification
2. CPR/AED and First Aid within 60 days of hire.
3. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and driving record that meets YMCA automobile insurance coverage requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the capability to engage in the physical activities’ incidental to the job, including without limitation, the capability to:
Regularly stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. Frequently required to walk; sit and taste or smell. Lift and move children. Lift and move equipment and furniture as necessary to facilitate the execution of classroom activities. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus including ability to supervise and monitor children both by sight and sound always. Remain alert during naptime supervision. Respond to children in the case of an emergency to ensure safety, such as the capability to react quickly and chase after a child if he or she runs toward danger or tries to leave the classroom. Most days, employee will be working a portion of the day outside in temperatures ranging from 15 degrees Fahrenheit (with wind chill) up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
