What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Tech position at Cape Cod Orthopedics and Sports Medicine?
Position Summary Busy orthopedic practice looking for qualified X-ray Technicians to join our team. An ideal candidate is a courteous, intelligent, hard-working, detail-oriented, team player with previous orthopedic experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by providers.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program and holds valid license.
- Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, processes, and procedures
- Ability to use sound logic and professional judgment and act calmly during emergencies.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally.
- Knowledge of digital imaging
- Knowledge of electronic health records (eClinicalWorksEpic preferred)
