Math Teacher

Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School is an established public charter middle school (serving 6th, 7th, and 8th grade) offering a project-rich, interdisciplinary curriculum. Our team is fueled by collaboration, shared purpose, and a deep belief in the capacity of all learners. Position open for a full-time Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Job description: - Deliver instruction through project-rich learning methods that employ a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning. - Use technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration. - Work directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of math initiatives and curriculum. - Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. - Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. - Establish clear objectives for all lessons, curricular units, and projects and communicate these objectives to the students. - Assess the accomplishments of students in a variety of ways on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. - Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records of students. - Recognize the special needs of students with learning disabilities, seeks the assistance of specialists, as needed and/or required, and make appropriate individualized physical and instructional accommodation within the classroom. - Build effective relationships with parents and students through regular communication and be available to students and parents for education-related purposes. - Teach students to work collaboratively to solve problems and to think logically and creatively. - Completes other duties as designated in the CBA. - Maintain a strong, regular personal attendance record. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, MA preferred Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students Experience working with middle school students, preferred Experience working with diverse student populations, preferred Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent teamwork skills Required license(s): Mathematics, 5-8, SEI Endorsement preferred
