What are the responsibilities and job description for the Podiatry Medical Assistant position at Cape Cod Foot Specialist?
Small podiatry office looking for a part time medical assistant to work two- three days per week.
2-3 days per week, approximately 16-30 hours.
Work hours start at 8:30 am and conclude at completion of tasks (typically at 6:00- 6:30 pm).
Entry level applicants are welcome/ encouraged to apply. We are willing to train an individual displaying the qualities listed below in addition to the desire and ability to learn the listed tasks. Certification or experience as a Medical Assistant is NOT required.

Candidate must be energetic, pleasant, a team player, detail oriented, honest, and orderly.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Calling patients the business day prior to confirm their appointments.
- Using computer and EHR software to update patients' charts with necessary information. (Social history, family history, past medical history, surgical history, medications, etc.).
- Helping patients into the treatment rooms and taking their vitals
- Sterilizing tools and instruments at the end of the day using the autoclave.
- Maintaining clean, sanitary and orderly treatments rooms. (Vacuuming after every patient and wiping down chairs, tables and dremel, etc. with sterilizing wipes)
- Measuring for orthopedic shoes with a Brannock device
- Assisting the physician with Podiatric X-rays
- Performing Non- Invasive Vascular Studies
- Restocking treatment rooms and office areas with appropriate supplies
- Informing office manager when supplies are needed
- Working with other team members to maintain a clean and orderly office and work environment. (Refilling soap and paper towels, emptying all trash, watering plants and vacuuming office.)
- Displaying accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
- Maintaining a professional, friendly and pleasant attitude to both patients and other team members, on the telephone and in person.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
