Job Summary
The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist plays a key role in building and nurturing relationships with referral sources and potential clients This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) is central to supporting clients in achieving their recovery goals by offering essential support and services.
- Immediately reports any concerns to the Senior Peer Services Coordinator (SPSC)
- Assists Cape Assist Community Peer Recovery Center (CACPRC) clientele with achieving their recovery goals by providing support and coaching
- Utilizes various recovery strategies to aid clients in developing life skills
- Facilitates groups and individual sessions and inputs required data into the Recovery Data Platform (RDP)
- Connects clients with resources that are suited to their individual recovery needs such as wellness services and community supports
- Advocates for clients to protect their rights and reduce stigma associated with substance use disorders
- Participates in weekly team meetings, contributing feedback regarding the utilization and effectiveness of program resources
- Reports participant progress, including utilization of program offerings
- Coordinates and assists in implementation of all CACPRC programs as needed
- Provides the SPSC with relevant data and reports for program evaluation
- Other tasks as requested by SPSC
Qualifications for position:
· Lived experience of addiction and recovery, with a minimum of two years’ experience with the guiding principles of recovery
· High school diploma required
· Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.50 - $21.00 per hour
