Position Overview
CapComm is seeking an experienced, bilingual General Foreman to lead field operations on an active data center construction project in Northern Virginia.
This individual will oversee daily workforce management, safety, quality control, production tracking, material coordination, and communication with project leadership. We are looking for someone who is attentive, proactive, dependable, and capable of identifying potential problems before they affect safety, quality, or the project schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of foremen, technicians, and laborers.
- Plan manpower and assign crews according to project priorities.
- Conduct daily pre-task planning and safety meetings in English and Spanish.
- Coordinate CapComm’s work with project management and surrounding trades.
- Review drawings, specifications, installation details, and applicable firestop systems.
- Maintain a two-week look-ahead for manpower, materials, equipment, access, and production.
- Identify field constraints early and bring proposed solutions to project leadership.
- Monitor production, workmanship, and installation quality throughout each shift.
- Ensure penetrations are properly prepared, sealed, labeled, documented, and ready for inspection.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower counts, timekeeping, production quantities, and progress documentation.
- Monitor material inventory and request additional materials before shortages affect production.
- Enforce site safety requirements and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate inspections, resolve deficiencies, and manage punch-list completion.
- Hold employees accountable while maintaining professional communication and strong crew morale.
- Immediately escalate safety, quality, scheduling, or personnel concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate safety instructions and work requirements clearly in both languages.
- OSHA-30 Certification
- At least 5 years of commercial construction experience.
- At least 2 years of field leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or comparable position.
- Experience supervising multiple crews or a workforce of at least 15 employees.
- Ability to read construction drawings, details, specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, production planning, and documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, additional shifts, or weekends when required by the project schedule.
- Reliable transportation to projects throughout Northern Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of data center or mission-critical construction experience.
- Experience with fire-rated and watertight penetration sealing.
- Familiarity with UL-listed firestop systems and penetration documentation.
- Manufacturer firestop training or certification.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, electrical contractors, inspectors, and surrounding trades.

Pay: $86,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
