JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Loan Consultant to join our mortgage production team. In this role, you will guide borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing, serving as their single point of contact and trusted advisor. Working from applications delivered by our sales team, you will structure each loan, move it through processing and underwriting, keep borrowers informed at every step, and drive it to an accurate, on-time closing. This role is central to delivering the Zero Closing Cost experience that earns CapCenter's repeat business and referrals, and it offers a clear path of advancement to Senior Loan Consultant and Principal Loan Consultant.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve as the borrower's primary point of contact from application through closing, delivering a clear, responsive, and reassuring experience.
• Structure each loan accurately and set the right expectations on program, pricing, and timeline.
• Manage your pipeline through processing and underwriting, clearing conditions quickly and keeping every file moving toward an on-time close.
• Collect and validate borrower documentation, and ensure each file is complete and accurate.
• Issue required disclosures within regulatory timeframes and maintain compliant, well-documented files.
• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to remove obstacles and protect pull-through.
• Maintain active NMLS licensing and complete continuing education on schedule.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• An active NMLS license, or the ability to obtain one within a defined onboarding window.
• Experience in mortgage lending, loan origination, processing, or a closely related role.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail across a high-volume pipeline.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with borrowers quickly.
• The ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Comfort working in a metrics-driven, deadline-driven environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with a direct-to-consumer or high-volume mortgage operation.
• Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, and Fair Lending requirements.
• Familiarity with the Encompass loan origination system.
• Experience with differentiated products such as Zero Closing Cost mortgages.
• Multi-state licensing across CapCenter's East Coast footprint.
• Experience leveraging AI and technology tools to improve efficiency and work product quality.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $180,000. Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related business considerations, including relevant qualifications, experience, education, certifications, skills, as well as business performance. Successful performance and achievement of established advancement milestones may lead to promotion opportunities and elevated salary range.
