Role Overview
A Receptionist / Office Assistant in a landscaping company serves as the first point of contact for clients, employees, and visitors, while supporting daily office operations. This role blends customer service, administrative support, and coordination between the office and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk & Guest Services: Greet and welcome visitors, direct them to the appropriate person or department, and maintain a clean, professional reception area.
- Phone & Communication: Answer incoming calls, screen messages, and forward calls to the right person; provide accurate information in person, over the phone, or via email .
- Mail & Supplies: Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries; order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Update calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate with field supervisors or crew leaders for appointments and estimations.
- Administrative Tasks: Record payments, update files, enter data, and assist with billing.
- Data Entry & Systems: Use Microsoft Office and possibly CRM (Jobber) software for scheduling, invoicing, and record-keeping.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree or Highschool Diploma.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM (Jobber experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skill
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked outdoor service environment.
Work Environment
On-site, with seasonal or part-time schedules depending on the business cycle. The role requires a personable, dependable, and self-motivated attitude, as well as the ability to adapt to varying workloads.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
