Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level Social Media and Content Coordinator to lead the day-to-day social media presence for United Sports, YSC Sports, S3, Flag Football Life and all United Sports brands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, organized, and sports-passionate individual to grow their career in sports media within a fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms for each brand
- Provide content guidance, uphold brand standards, and oversight for applicable staff
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that reflects programming for events, leagues and facilities
- Capture content (photos/videos) during events
- Write engaging captions, stories, and posts that reflect the voice and brands properly
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster an active online community across all managed accounts
- Track performance metrics, identify KPI’s and conduct reports for leadership
- Collaborate with staff to source content, hire freelancers and interns, promote programs, and coordinate campaigns
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices in sports/youth athletics marketing
- Support occasional graphic design or basic content editing needs using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (equivalent professional experience considered)
- 0–3 years of professional social media experience, ideally in the sports industry
- Strong writing skills with an eye for engaging, on-brand captions and messaging
- Familiarity with all major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X) and their native content formats
- Photo/video capture and editing skills (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva)
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- A passion for sports and youth athletics is strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong commitment to timely responsiveness
Experience using digital asset management systems - Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite) is a plus
- Knowledge of DSLR or Mirrorless camera equipment
