Division 8 Senior Detailer Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Division 8 Senior Detailer Engineer. The role involves creating detailed architectural hardware and door schedules, reviewing construction documents, performing accurate take-offs, and coordinating project specifications with architects, contractors, and clients. The candidate would also be responsible for providing technical expertise to support production and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Collaboration with project managers and other team members will be integral to successfully executing projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
• Experience with detailing Division 8 products, including hollow metal doors, wood doors, and finish hardware
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to create accurate schedules and take-offs
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards, including ADA compliance
• Technical skills in software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other detailing software
• Experience in project coordination, including communication with architects, contractors, and clients
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in the Division 8 or construction industry is a plus
