Job Title: Quality Inspector – CAP Glass Recycling
Location: CAP Glass Allentown
Job Type: Full-Time, Day Shift, On Site (6am - 2:30pm M-F)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to join our team in our CAP Glass Allentown Facility. The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of incoming and processed glass materials, identifying contamination, and verifying that finished products meet customer standards. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the testing process according to our contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming glass materials for contamination, non-glass materials (e.g., metals, plastics, ceramics), and overall quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality control records, as well as photographing all samples taken.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a Quality Control or inspection role, preferably in a recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify contaminants or inconsistencies.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (e.g., standing for long periods, lifting, exposure to noise and dust).
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a recycling plant with exposure to loud machinery, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
