What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Mechanic position at Cap America?
Position Summary:
Repair and maintain machinery in the factory, PM and ensure all is in proper working conditions. Perform outside maintenance and or facility repairs to the building.
Essential Functions:
- Perform repairs, maintain machines, equipment and buildings.
- Keep stock levels of machine repair parts and supply’s updated weekly and turn in part and supply list orders to manager.
- Complete various outside maintenance jobs.
- Occasional duties off-site may be required.
- .Helping to load & unload trucks & containers if needed.
- Cross-Training in various areas of production in order to be utilized in whatever area is needed.
- And other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and machinery a must.
- Must be mechanically minded.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and have knowledge of several types of machines.
- Must be able to lift over 75 pounds.
- Some twisting, bending, stretching, reaching, climbing, walking, sitting, kneeling, pushing and pulling required.
- Able to get along with multiple personality types.
- Must have a positive work attitude and be punctual, dependable and trustworthy.
