Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking 1 full-time Maintenance Technicians Laborer/Helper to join our team at our facility in Sandy, UT, and other facilities across the Salt Lake Valley. You would be responsible for helping with the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and property of our affiliated companies. If you are willing to put in an honest days work, feel comfortable doing repairs and maintenance on the things you know, and learning to do the things you don't know you should read on.
You will help do maintenance on existing properties from changing light bulbs to complete Tenant Improvements. We do all of our own maintenance, which means lawns and flower beds in the summer and snow removal in the winter. We have new construction projects in the works and you will likely have the ability to work on those projects as well.
We are looking for someone with the desire to learn how to do various maintenance and construction, and would be happy to have someone with experience in one or more ofthe trades.
We do our selection process as a paid working interview. We will give you some projects for a day and see how you do on them. $100 for a day of work and we will talk at the end and decide if this is going to be a fit. If its a fit, whatever you made the first day will be adjusted to your ongoing rate.
Requirements:
- If you can't work 40 hours a week, please don't apply
- If you're going to have try to pass a drug test you probably won't be a good fit with our team (one of our affiliated companies is a law firm)
- It would be nice if you have some experience with HVAC, Electrical, Building Management Systems, and other related equipment or systems. (you may even be able to tell us what the next upgrades should be)
- We live in Utah, and we do stuff inside and outside so you need to be comfortable in the temperatures of Utah's climate.
- You won't have someone breathing down your neck; you've got to be able to keep yourself busy and keep yourself safe.
What you will be doing:
- routine maintenance on all building systems including HVAC, fire alarm systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, exterior, exterior lighting and exterior painting, snow removal, lawn fertilizing and maintenance.
- routine maintenance on all building supplies including paint touch up, paper products, flooring materials, etc.
- major projects as assigned (including paint, flooring, framing, landscaping, and a bunch of other stuff. You don't need to be an expert at any of them, just need to pay attention to detail).
