What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tour Guide position at Canyonlands By Night & Day?
Canyonlands By Night & Day in Moab, UT is looking for a part-time tour guide to join our crew. We are a seasonal business, located at 1861 N. Hwy 191. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, punctual, and engaging with a love of the outdoors surrounding Moab.
Responsibilities
- Step-on buses to give groups information about the geology, botany, and history of the area while having fun and being safe.
- Host aboard our evening Sound and Light boat - engage guests as the boat works its way upriver, pointing out unique features in the canyon walls and telling stories.
- This position is part-time; assisting in other roles throughout the business may be available to give you more hours.
Qualifications
- Must be a people person and have great interaction skills.
- Must be willing to learn and take safety courses to uphold our standards.
- Must have a willing smile and excellent interpersonal skills
- Be able to hike and walk up to 3 miles.
- Experience with large groups and educational skills are a plus.
- Availability one to three nights per week to host the Sound and Light boat.
Hourly wage based on experience gratuities.
