Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Independent Installer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to install flooring materials efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while delivering professional installation services.
Duties
- Install various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile, according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare work areas by measuring, cutting, and leveling surfaces to ensure proper installation.
- Follow detailed installation instructions and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship and safety on-site.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations efficiently.
- Communicate with clients or project managers regarding project progress and any issues that arise during installation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and organizing tools and materials after each project.
- Ensure all installations are completed within agreed timelines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a flooring installer or in a similar role involving flooring installation.
- Strong knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, or technical instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to access various job sites independently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and performing precise work.
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not mandatory depending on job site locations.
