Requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school. CPR and Handle with Care certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
One year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. The psychiatric mental health nurse will demonstrate the scope of practice as recognized by The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse: Psychiatric-mental health (PMH) nursing promotes integrated and comprehensive health and wellness through prevention and education, as well as assessment, diagnosis, care, and treatment of the full range of psychiatric-mental health disorders, across the life span. Psychiatric nurses practice transpersonal caring to promote the health and healing of humanity.
We are a level I inpatient adult psychiatric facility with 19 beds.
