Do you love retail, keeping things organized and helping a team stay motivated and on track? Canyon Rim Gifts is looking for a dependable, proactive Shift Lead to help oversee daily operations in our retail and sweet shop.
This is the perfect role for someone who leads by example, loves a fast paced environment and takes pride in keeping a shop running smoothly. As Shift Lead, you aren't sitting in an office... you are on the floor setting the pace, helping our team stay productive and ensuring our customers have great shopping experiences.
What You Will Do Daily:
- Set the tone by bringing great enery to the floor, assisting customers at register and keeping the team moving efficidntly and positively.
- Oversee The Flow: Guide staff on daily tasks ensuring team is clear and actively working through their shift checklists (stocking, pricing and maintaining a safe and clean shop).
- Quality Control: Walk throughs to verify tasks are completed fully and correctly by end of shifts.
- Keep Shelves Full: Assist in monitoring inventory levels so our popular retail items (tshirts, mugs, shot glasses, magnets) and kitchen essentials (ice cream cones and fudge!) are always stocked, locked and loaded for customers to enjoy.
What We Are Searching For
- Leadership by Example: You are action oriented and don't mind jumping into physical tasks (stocking, organizing, cleaning) to show team how it's done.
- High Situational Awareness: You naturally notice details like an unpriced itme, an empty row in the cooler or a messy counter and you proactively address it or direct a team member to handle it.
- Clear and Positive Communicaton: You know how to keep a shift fun and lighthearted but completely comfortable giving direct, ploite course corrections to keep team focused.
- Reliability: You are trustworthy, dependable and can manage open/closing protocols indepently.
Qualifications
- Previous management experience or supervisory role within retail management.
- Organizational skills, effective time management and delegation necessary.
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
