The Medical Director for our Austin resort will be responsible for providing medical care to Canyon Ranch guests with the utmost of customer service in mind. Provides clinical assessment, diagnostic testing and treatment recommendations. Also provides guest and staff education.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE

• Medical Services: You'll provide direct medical services to Canyon Ranch guests. Provide patient diagnosis and treatment aimed at alleviating or preventing illness and/or injury. Scope of the work will include adult care, lifestyle and integrative medicine, preventive care, chronic illness and disease management, minor procedures, and all other areas of family medicine or internal medicine. Participate in interdepartmental medical consultation and education as requested and advises nursing staff of appropriate response to patient phone calls. Serve as liaison with the local medical community and initiate appropriate specialty referrals.
• Documentation: Record patient chart entries in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) format and complete appropriate documentation necessary per company policy and TXDHS guidelines. Document medical care as required by medical legal and regional standards. Complete additional documentation necessary for data and billing department.
• Guest Lectures/Education: Develop and provide educational, value-added presentations and lectures to the Canyon Ranch guest population. This includes lectures to physicians and lectures during feature events.
• Service Development: Participate in medical research and innovation, including participation in the development of medical services, protocols, lab testing, standard procedures procedures and management of patient care related activities. Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 3 years of prior knowledge of position/industry
• PhD degree or equivalent experience as a licensed MD or DO
• Demonstrated knowledge of good nutrition and healthy lifestyle
• Demonstrated skills and training in Integrative Wellness, Sport or Health Science fields.
• Proficient in addressing various clinical issues, including: anxiety, depression, relationships, sleep.
  
  

Required certifications include:

• Current license to practice medicine
• BLS for Heatlhcare Providers
• Board certified from an accredited medical school
• DEA license
