Job description:
- Conducts routine testing independently and supports complex study with supervision.
- Performs equipment qualifications, re-qualifications and associated activities
- Maintains training records for all tasks.
- Performs advanced laboratory techniques.
- Performs activities in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Prepares work instructions for review
- Provides training as defined by management.
The responsibilities with respect to the planning of tests and evaluation of results:
- Schedules activities
- Prepares GMP and GLP protocols, reports, including data collection in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
- Recognize problems associated with routine tests, tools and instruments including the completion of laboratory Investigations, Deviation and CAPA Reports.
- Preparation of data collection and analysis tools including ELN forms, the preparation of spreadsheets and statistical manipulation.
The responsibilities for reporting opinions and interpretations:
- Performs data review of standard test methods.
- Performs review of laboratory documentation.
- Provides data trending and analysis of standard testing.
- Interpretation of standard test results.
- Communicates any potential out of specification conditions or deviations to department leadership.
- Performs final release/approval for non complex test reports.
The responsibilities with respect to method modification and development and validation of new methods:
- Performs method development, validation
- Participates in proficiency testing for standard methods
Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school with two years of experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and programs specific to the lab tools and instrumentation.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
