About Us
Canyon Hills Treatment Facility is a Level V Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) dedicated to providing trauma-informed, therapeutic care for adolescent males. We focus on helping youth develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and readiness for community reintegration through a collaborative, supportive approach.
We are seeking compassionate, professional LPNs and RNs who are passionate about mental health and making a lasting impact in the lives of adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adolescent residents in a therapeutic environment.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and standing orders.
- Conduct vital signs, health assessments, and ongoing wellness checks.
- Observe and document behavioral, emotional, and physical changes.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and staff to support individualized care plans.
- Implement CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) de-escalation techniques and participate in crisis intervention as needed.
- Complete accurate nursing documentation, medication logs, and incident reports.
- Maintain compliance with PRTF regulations, state requirements, and facility policies.
- Educate residents and staff on medication management and health promotion.
- Attend treatment team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care discussions.
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or adolescent care preferred.
- Familiarity with CPI de-escalation and trauma-informed care is a plus.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional during high-stress situations.
