Duties

• Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices using approved sterilization techniques.
• Inspect instruments for damage or defects, ensuring all equipment meets safety and quality standards before use.
• Manage inventory by tracking supplies, ordering replacements, and maintaining accurate records to ensure availability of necessary tools.
• Prepare sterilized instruments for surgical procedures by organizing and packaging them according to strict aseptic techniques.
• Follow detailed protocols for decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage processes to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory logs for accountability and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to understand instrument needs and ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare setting with knowledge of sterilization procedures.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to correctly handle specialized surgical instruments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical environments.
• Expertise in inventory management to efficiently track supplies and prevent shortages.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing and handling of sterile items.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to maintain accurate records and documentation. Pay: From $21.00 per hour
