About the Position:
As a Kitchen Cook/Floater, you'll be responsible for crafting seasonal menus and preparing meals that not only satisfy taste buds but also nourish growing bodies. Your shift will be from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly throughout the week.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Previous experience as a cook in a childcare setting or similar environment preferred.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating nutritious meals that appeal to children.
- Strong knowledge of food allergies and safe serving.
- Knowledge of / experience with CACFP guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Must be comfortable with floating into classrooms as needed. Ages range from Infants-PreK.
- Familiar with kitchen planning that includes but not limited to, placing orders, storing and handling food according to health and safety codes, sanitation procedures, etc.
- Proficient in the TX Minimum Standards Nutrition and Food Service guidelines
- Have or willing to obtain Texas Food Handler/Manager Certification within 30 days of hire.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour
