Responsibilities
- Serve ice cream and other frozen desserts with precision and care, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Operate POS systems to process transactions quickly and accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional toppings or products to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, scoop stations, dining areas, and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed throughout your shift.
- Manage food preparation tasks efficiently during busy hours, including portioning, topping assembly, and restocking supplies.
- Support team members by cleaning up spills, doing dishes and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the shop.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic beginners eager to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience working in a café or retail environment is advantageous but not mandatory; what matters most is your energetic attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction.
