Responsibilities
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple properties/entities
• Review and approve property-level financials; ensure GAAP compliance
• Independently review and sign off on property-level financial statements
• Manage and mentor a team of 8–10 remote property accountants
• Oversee reconciliations (bank, security deposits, taxes, intercompany)
• Partner with Asset Management on variance analysis and NOI drivers
• Oversee A/P, A/R, and cash management processes
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and lender reporting
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Build and enhance reporting using Microsoft Excel
Serve as system lead for Yardi
• Oversee preparation and review of NYC regulatory filings, including:
◦ TC (Tax Commission / certiorari support)
◦ RPIE (Real Property Income & Expense filings)
• Independently review and sign off on RPIE filings
Qualifications
• 8 years of accounting experience (real estate required)
• Experience managing teams (including remote/offshore)
• Strong proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
• Deep understanding of accrual accounting and property-level financials
• Experience with NYC filings, including TC and RPIE
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred
• CPA
• NYC multifamily experience
• Experience with outsourced accounting teams and lender reporting
In office 4-5 days a week
Compensation
• $150K – $200K base bonus
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
