Primary Purpose: Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, services, and equipment for the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical fixtures and systems in the district facilities. Respond to District emergencies by being on call 24 hours a day.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency
- Must have a valid electrician license
- Must have a valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principal motors
- Knowledge of local electrical codes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hands and power-tools
- Must have the ability to understand, read, and speak English
Experience:
- Must have at least five (5) years experience in the electrical field
Misc Information:Only the Superintendent of Schools and in some cases the Board of Trustees has the hiring authority to employ applicants. The Human Resources Division is the only entity that can officially make an offer of employment to applicants.In the event the selection of a person for the posted position creates a vacancy in another position within Canutillo ISD as a result of an intra-district transfer of personnel, the vacancy created by the transfer may be filled by the District with an individual qualified for the position through this posting and selection process.Extended Salary:
