Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with the established plan of care and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, gait training, balance activities, and use of assistive devices
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and functional activities to support recovery and independence
- Accurately document treatments, progress, and patient responses in a timely manner per facility and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care
- Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations, including HIPAA and infection control standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and respect in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing (state-specific)
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or home health preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
