Breakfast Cook - Canterbury Park

We are seeking a morning-minded and passionate Breakfast Cook to join our Culinary Department at Canterbury Park!

Part-time opportunity!

Earn between $18 and $20/hour, dependent on experience!

Day Shift available! 5:30AM -12:30PM, 2 days/week, SAT & SUN including weekends.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Breakfast Cook’s role is preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community during morning hours.

What you'll do:

• Cook and prepare food for use at breakfast and in the Bistro
• Prepare dining room for breakfast including setting up necessary supplies and tools
• Ensure breakfast items are rotated and well-stocked
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer residents to management when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Food handler's card required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Customer service experience
• Must be drug free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
