This position requires advanced knowledge of electrical systems, experience in panel replacements, and the ability to oversee full project execution from site assessment through final inspection.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead installation of Kohler and Generac home standby generators in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Supervise and direct installation crews to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform and oversee electrical panel replacements, transfer switch installations, and system integrations
- Conduct site assessments to determine proper installation locations and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Ensure all electrical work meets NEC and local code requirements
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and work performed
- Promote and enforce company safety standards on all job sites
Requirements
Skills And Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or crew lead experience
- Strong experience with electrical panel replacements and service upgrades
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety practices, and code requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must meet company insurance requirements to operate company vehicles
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Electrical certifications or licensing preferred
- OSHA certifications are a plus
