Position Summary
The Decorator Process Engineer will be responsible for leading and advising plant staff and team members to drive plant process optimization of the Decorator areas in multiple high speed can manufacturing facilities.

The Decorator Process Engineer will be responsible for leading and advising plant staff and team members to drive plant process optimization of the Decorator areas in multiple high speed can manufacturing facilities.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
- Lead and develop team members.
- Manage resources, activities, and vendors to ensure efficient operations for the Decorator area.
- Establish, document, monitor, and improve maintenance procedures on equipment.
- Use systems and data to identify process issues and lead teams through the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Seek out and champion R&D of new processes or technologies related to the Decorator.
- Lead and drive in-plant process improvements to drive down spoilage rates.
- Create SOPs and Work Instructions associated with Decorator equipment and processes.
- Participate in OEM buy-offs and trials.
- Lead and coordinate trials and equipment commissioning alongside plant personnel.
- Provide direction as well as hands-on demonstration of troubleshooting skills on Decorator equipment and processes.
- Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
- 5 years minimum job-related experience
- Expert level knowledge of equipment and processes to include, but not limited to, Decorator, Pin Oven, O/V Unit, Bottom Coater. Ability to rebuild O/V Units, Inkers, Bottom Coater.
- Experience with Stolle Concord Decorators preferred
- Experience leading and managing work teams
- Demonstrated ability to partner and negotiate with contractors and vendors
- Experience leading and advising production personnel using continuous improvement / Lean & Six Sigma tools and methodology
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience with coaching and technical development of team members and supervisors
- Self-starter who can work independently and prioritize work tasks
