What You’ll Do as General Manager
You’ll oversee strategic leadership, daily operations, financial performance, and cultural development for a partner tree care company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead all day-to-day operations, crews, scheduling, and production calls
- Develop and execute business strategies, goals, and operational plans
- Implement systems, processes, and operational cadence to drive efficiency
- Manage dispatching, workflow optimization, and service execution
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, train, and lead arborists, climbers, PHC techs, and office staff
- Build a strong team culture rooted in safety, accountability, and growth
- Conduct performance reviews and coach team members
P&L Ownership & Financial Performance
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility
- Understand gross margin levers and drive profitability
- Make data-driven decisions using KPIs and operational metrics
Client & Community Engagement
- Strengthen client relationships and ensure exceptional service
- Resolve issues promptly and support business development efforts
- Represent the company at community and industry events
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high-quality standards and safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Secure necessary permits and enforce safety protocols
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Onsite availability at a partner company
- 7 years of senior management experience in tree care, arboriculture, landscaping, or related services
- Strong understanding of P&L management, gross margins, and operational KPIs
- Experience leading crews and managing service operations
- Knowledge of tree care practices, equipment, and safety standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel as needed
