Canopy Property Services is seeking a full-time in-person Accounting and Bookkeeping Professional in Incline Village, NV with experience in HOA management. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized accounting professional with experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
About the Role
This role supports accounting operations for company divisions, HOA management accounts, home services, commercial services, long-term rentals, and real estate transactions. The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple accounts, communicating with clients and vendors, and producing accurate financial records and reports.
Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks for company and client accounts.
· Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments, check runs, and vendor bills.
· Reconcile bank accounts, including HOA operating, reserve, and CD accounts.
· Prepare monthly financial reports, budget vs. actual reports, and supporting documents for management, HOA boards, and community managers.
· Process payroll and related journal entries.
· Track homeowner assessments, rental invoices, landlord payments, delinquent accounts, prepaid items, reserve transfers, and client charges.
· Communicate professionally with homeowners, tenants, vendors, clients, CPAs, board members, and internal staff.
· Maintain organized records for audits, taxes, compliance, and internal review.
Qualifications
· Bookkeeping, accounting, or full-charge bookkeeping experience required.
· Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
· Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks and Caliber, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Accrual accounting experience required.
· Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
· HOA, property management, rental, real estate, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
