What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Architect position at Canon?
As a key member of the Security Leadership Team, shape and drive the security vision for Canon EMEA. Lead the development and execution of a strategic, multi-year Security Roadmap, define the target Security Domain Architecture across both Enterprise IT and Business IT, and provide expert security architecture leadership to ensure enterprise and business initiatives are secure, resilient, and aligned with the organization’s long-term objectives.

- Strong experience designing and securing cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services; experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Salesforce is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of networking and security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, SDN, proxies, API gateways, WAFs, trust boundaries, and segmentation.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, App Registrations, and federated identity.
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles and related technologies such as CASB and SASE.
- Experience with cloud and SaaS security posture management (CSPM and SSPM).
- Working knowledge of application security, including secure coding and the secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with enterprise security tools and operations, including Qualys, XDR, SIEM, SOC, and DLP.
- Experience conducting security risk assessments and architecture reviews for project and solution designs.

The salary for this role is between £80,739 - £96,118 depending on experience, plus a 10% annual bonus & our excellent benefit package.
- Own, define and maintain the Canon EMEA multi-year Security Roadmap
- Own, define and maintain current and future state Security Domain Architecture (for a 5 year horizon) aligned to business and IT priorities
- Actively support and consult all projects within the Security domain as a member of the Project Design Authority (PDA)
- On an ongoing basis, participate in defining and updating the Canon EMEA Information Security policies, guidelines and procedures
- Lead or support creation of project architecture direction in the Vision Statement of new initiatives
- Review current state domain architecture and identify and action areas for improvement
