Senior Accountant
Location: Mayfield Village (Cleveland), Ohio, Relocating to Cleveland Clinic Main Campus October 2026

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to play a key role in our finance team. This position is responsible for supporting the full financial close process and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Beyond core accounting responsibilities, this role will oversee critical operational areas—including accounts payable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and loan management—while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to support business decisions, audits, and continuous process improvements.

What You’ll Do
Core Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Produce financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze results vs. budget and forecast, identify trends, and recommend actions
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting activities
- Prepare statutory and HQ reporting (Canon Group system)
- Assist with audit and tax preparation processes
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Leverage automation tools to improve reporting efficiency
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
- Own the end-to-end accounts payable process
- Review and process invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies or delays proactively
- Manage employee expense reimbursements (SAP Concur)
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Payroll & HR Partnership
- Process biweekly and monthly payroll using ADP
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including adjustments (garnishments, bonuses, etc.)
- Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of payroll transactions
- Partner with HR on payroll-related matters as needed
Loan & Fixed Asset Management
- Manage fixed asset records and depreciation in line with company policy
- Maintain loan schedules, drawdowns, and interest tracking
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with general ledger and financial reporting
- ERP/accounting systems experience required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, ADP, and SAP Concur preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
