Canon Financial Services in Burlington, NJ is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative I (Representative, Cust Svc I) who will be responsible to provide professional, courteous, responsive and accurate service to our customers that is in harmony with the Canon Brand image.
As work schedules are subject to change, the identified candidate must have flexibility to work any of the following shifts: Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm, 9:00am - 5:30pm, 9:30am - 6:00pm or 10:30am - 7:00pm.
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Wednesday and Thursday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

The Customer Service Representative I provides routine billing and account support to customers while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing, payments, collections, taxes, and account maintenance. The representative is responsible for accurately documenting customer interactions, resolving routine issues, and supporting the integrity of customer accounts and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and courteous customer service support through various communication channels.
- Explain billing statements and account activity to customers in a clear and accurate manner.
- Process customer payments and assist with collections-related inquiries and resolutions.
- Handle insurance, property tax, and sales tax-related requests and account updates.
- Issue account credits and process service changes as required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution for routine customer concerns.
- Accurately record customer contact information, account updates, and details of customer interactions.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of customer accounts and portfolios.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, dealers, Canon associates, and management.
- Represent the organization professionally by providing information, responding to inquiries, and assisting with problem resolution.

- Demonstrate a strong customer-focused approach in all interactions.
- Maintain a productive work environment by minimizing non-business-related distractions and adhering to company standards and policies.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Canon Financial Services processes, procedures, and systems.
- Take ownership of routine issues through resolution while escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
- Identify recurring customer concerns, recognize potential root causes, and recommend process improvements that enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency.

- Experience Preferred: 1 year of Customer Service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional vocational training or coursework in a related field is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office products and Google Workspace
- Requires individuals to work successfully within a team environment and inter-departmentally to ensure service levels, group and individual metrics are met
- Proven analytical problem solving skills and basic math skills required
- Ability to multitask and excel in a fast paced environment
- Strong ability to prioritize, with excellent time management skills
- Successful utilization of systems: SalesForce, Unified Desktop, Leasewave
We are providing the anticipated rate for this role: $18.16 - $27.19 hourly
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional vocational training or coursework in a related field is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
