Position Overview
Are you someone who enjoys variety in your day, builds connections easily, and thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a Flexible Support Staff member to support our classrooms at both locations and help keep our centers running smoothly each day.
This is a perfect role for someone who:

What You’ll Do:
- Support classrooms with children ages 6 weeks–12 years
- Step into different rooms as needed throughout the day
- Help cover staff absences and breaks
- Assist with activities, supervision, and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with children and staff across the center

Classroom & Program Support
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and leading activities, ensuring they are adaptable to meet the needs of each child.
- Supervise and interact with children at all times, ensuring a secure and enriching environment.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, daily routines, incident reports, and developmental assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota Rule 3 and all childcare licensing regulations.
Family & Team Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth classroom operations and a positive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and at least one community event annually.
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable and consistent attendance (this is a must!)
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Flexibility and willingness to jump in where needed
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in childcare preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person
Requirements
- Must pass a background study.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and engage in activities at a child’s level (kneeling, sitting on the floor, etc.).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions for at least one hour per day.
- Willingness to work occasional hours outside of the normal schedule for training.
- Must relocate to Marshall, MN 56258 before starting work (if applicable).
- Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education or other areas is preferred but not required.
