Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Process cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and cash register operations
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting products, upselling, and meeting sales goals
- Handle retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory counts with precision
- Maintain accurate data entry for customer information, sales records, and financial transactions using retail software systems
- Assist with retail lending activities such as loan processing and collections when applicable
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store environment to create an inviting atmosphere for shoppers
Requirements
- Previous retail store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential
- Basic math skills including retail math, cash handling, and 10 key typing proficiency
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Familiarity with financial services or banking concepts is a plus
- Ability to process cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash drawer handling and cash management
- Experience with data entry, point-of-sale (POS) systems, or financial software is advantageous
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks related to retail operations
