Water Jet Operator
Pay: $24-27/hr. (depending on experience level) 15% shift differential
Shift: Mon-Thu (3:30pm to 2am) - Must be able to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks
Description:
- The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for running the cutting system that can cut up to 10" thick carbon steel plate and up to 6 1/4" thick stainless steel plate with gantry-type machining center capabilities. The 360-degree contour beveling capabilities lets us cut bevels in steel, aluminum, and many other alloy metals.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience operating cutting equipment in a metal shop with a laser, waterjet, and/or plasma table
- Ability to work in a safe, cautious manner, exercising care and concern for the people, equipment, and product
- Knowledge of large material handling
- Competency in being able to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, recognize and adhere to standards of quality
- Work independently or with others; demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment
- Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts is a huge plus (the overhead crane system has a max lifting capability of 50 tons with 31' height)
- Ability to read and work off of blueprints
- Strong math skills
