Cannonball Recruiting is partnering with multiple Pennsylvania production and job-shop facilities to hire experienced CNC professionals on a direct-hire basis. You’ll craft components for aerospace, marine, medical device, and nuclear/power applications using industry-leading equipment.
A day in the life
You arrive to your chosen shift, review work orders and drawings, and plan your setups. You load tools, set work offsets, and dial in fixtures on CNC mills and lathes—moving confidently between 3–5 axis platforms as production demands. Throughout the run, you verify quality using CMMs, micrometers, and depth gages, adjusting programs or tooling to keep tolerances tight. By day’s end, you’ve completed changeovers, updated documentation, and handed off a stable process for the next operator.
What you’ll do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and multi‑axis machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and GD&T symbols
- Machine a range of metals with the right speeds/feeds, tooling, and coolant strategies
- Measure, inspect, and validate parts using CMMs, micrometers, depth gages, and similar tools
What you bring
- Hands-on CNC mill or lathe operation
- Proven CNC mill or lathe setup experience
- Confident with CNC changeovers in a production or job‑shop environment
- Proficiency in CNC programming and CNC machine setup & changeover

- CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, Takisawa, Dmg Mori Seiki, Samsung, Murata, Fuji, Nakamura, Hyundai - Wia)
- CNC Mill (5 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Matsuura, Mikron, Dmg Mori Seiki)
- CNC Lathe (5 axis) (Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Index, Eurotech, Miyano, Dmg Mori Seiki, Samsung, Nakamura)
Compensation & schedule
- Direct hire, $25–$40 per hour (based on experience)
- 1st shift (Mon–Fri) or 2nd shift (Mon–Fri)
