Job Title: Retail Store Sales Associate Team Member

Supervisor: Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic Retail Store Manager

Position Purpose
The purpose of the retail store sales associate team member is to assist customers with purchases and make recommendations if needed, make reservations for boarding, guiding clients and patients through the daycare and boarding drop off and pick-up procedures, taking dogs and cats to their designated areas for boarding or playtime. In addition the retail store associate team member will also be responsible for stocking shelves, facing product, pricing items, answering phone calls, and maintaining the self-serve dog wash. Safety for the animals and customer service are our top priorities.
Job Responsibilities

- Must be able to work a variety of hours if needed, including Saturdays and Sundays*
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds of dog or cat food and cat litter 20% of the workday
- Must have the ability to maneuver large, unruly dogs while moving them to and from boarding and doggy daycare*
- Clean and maintain self-serve dog wash: tub, floor, and laundry*
- Daily general duties include:
- Greet customers in a positive manner *
- Assist clients with sales and make product recommendations
- Answer and direct phone calls*
- Schedule reservations for both cats and dogs including doggy daycare*
- Process boarding and doggy daycare scheduling and paperwork*
- Stocking and facing shelves*
- Pricing products as directed by the retail store manager*
- All other duties as assigned*
- Follows all Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic policies, procedures and guidelines outlined in the employee handbook*
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
