What You'll Do
As an Educational Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students and teachers in a variety of educational settings. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting students with academic instruction in one-on-one and small-group settings.
- Supporting classroom activities, learning objectives, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Encouraging positive behaviors and helping students develop social-emotional skills.
- Monitoring, redirecting, and reinforcing appropriate student behavior.
- Assisting students with daily living skills and personal care needs when required.
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to create engaging and successful learning experiences.
- Helping students build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet Minnesota Highly Qualified requirements through one of the following:
- Associate's Degree (AA)
- Completion of 60 post-secondary credits
- A passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment
- Equivalent training, coursework, and experience as approved by the Minnesota Department of Education
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $22.82–$23.98 per hour
