Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately
- Counsel patients on medications and health concerns
- Administer immunizations (preferred but not required)
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) services and patient follow-up
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and staff
- Communicate professionally with prescribers and patients
- Help maintain a positive, customer-focused pharmacy environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring standing for extended periods and frequent interaction with patients and healthcare professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior retail pharmacy experience
- Immunization certification
- Experience or familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
