Job Summary:
Cannon Pharmacy Mooresville is looking to hire a pharmacy sales associate that has work experience in a retail setting. The shifts will be a mix of opening shifts starting at 8:30am, closing shifts ending at 7:00pm, and Saturday rotation (8:30am-4pm).
As an independent retail pharmacy that prides ourselves on excellent customer service, our main focus is to find a sales associate that exhibits excellent customer service, problem solving, and teamwork skills. You will have to be able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changes in the healthcare industry, and most importantly exhibit the willingness to always learn from others and also teach others on the team. Past experience in retail sales or customer service, along with cash register and point of sale computer skills are required.
Job Purpose:
Supports pharmacists and technicians by waiting on customers, answering phone calls, stocking supplies, hanging and retrieving prescriptions, running the registers, and keeping the pharmacy tidy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform as a team in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changes in the healthcare industry, and most importantly exhibit the willingness to always learn from others and also teach others on the team
- Provide exceptional customer service and get to know customers on a personable level
- Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Properly runs the cash register and handles money with accuracy. Counts down the register correctly at the end of each shift.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients information by adhering to policies and procedures.
- Organize, hang, and retrieve pharmacy bags for patients.
- Ensures over the counter stock availability by ordering medications and supplies for all OTC departments.
- Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
