Litigation Paralegal

Company Description Cannon & Dunphy, S.C. is a Wisconsin-based personal injury law firm that has focused on representing individuals injured by the wrongful conduct of others for over 40 years. The firm represents people, not insurance companies, and handles both straightforward and complex litigation matters.

Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in personal injury and litigation matters through all stages of the case lifecycle. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and organizing legal documents, preparing pleadings and motions, managing case files, and assisting with discovery, including document collection, review, and production. The role also involves conducting legal and factual research, preparing summaries of medical and other records, coordinating communications with clients and external parties, and tracking deadlines and court dates. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Brookfield, WI, working closely with attorneys and staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and manage legal documents, including Legal Document Preparation and formal Pleadings.
• Experience with detailed Document Review and handling discovery materials and case files.
• Proficiency in Legal Research, including case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to personal injury litigation.
• Skills in drafting and organizing Motions, affidavits, and related court filings.
• Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience as a litigation paralegal, ideally in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate with attorneys and staff, and maintain client confidentiality and professionalism.
