What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR. FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION COORDINATOR position at Cannon Construction?
Construction Coordinators work closely with Project managers to successfully prepare and assemble documents crucial to bids, costing, engineering, and construction. Utilizing their knowledge, they will be able to assist with the Safety, Quality, Integrity, and Teamwork of the crews. A Senior Federal Coordinator will have 4 years of experience as a coordinator and will also have Federal contracting and Government experience.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SR. COORDINATOR
- Must have 4 experience working in a Construction office environment. -Telecom, electrical, Commercial, DOD or Utility Experience required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel skills.
- Familiar with Government contract administration and compliance including FARS.
- Government, DOD, and Federal experience required.
- Proficient on computers and comfortable navigating server directories.
- Comfortable communicating professionally through email, phone or in person.
- Motivated to learn and able to adapt to changes when needed.
- Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve problems.
- Be organized and have a strong attention to detail.
- Scheduling and coordinating site walks and flow of jobs.
- Positive attitude, driven and highly motivated to succeed.
- Must have excellent people skills and can motivate others.
- Be able to pass pre-employment process to be able to gain access to military base.
- Capability to learn new skills and adapt.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assemble documents crucial to construction projects.
- Coordinate daily activities and track project deadlines.
- Verify packets have the required documents and are properly completed.
- Update Electronic documents with pertinent information.
- Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
- Microsoft skills, especially Excel, are necessary.
- Assist with scheduling appointments with a strong focus on efficiency.
- Outlook calendar experience beneficial
- Scheduling detailed and follow-ups executed.
- Have positive working relationships with the crews, fellow employees and exemplify teamwork.
- Maintain integrity in all aspects of your job.

- Other duties as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday from either 6:30 am-3 pm or 7 am - 3:30 pm. This position is onsite, at our office located on JBLM, WA.
