Day to day as a Electrical Journeyman
As a new Electrical Journeyman at Cannon Construction, your daily expectations will revolve around delivering quality work while prioritizing safety. You'll start your day by reviewing project blueprints and plans, ensuring a thorough understanding of the tasks at hand. Collaborating with your team, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
You will be responsible for adhering to safety standards on-site, particularly when accessing Military bases. Regular inspections of electrical components will be a crucial part of your routine to ensure compliance with local codes. Additionally, you will document your work accurately, maintaining records for prevailing wage requirements.
Your hands-on experience will grow as you tackle various projects, all while fostering a spirit of teamwork and professionalism within the organization.

A minimum of 3 years of electrical experience is essential, along with a valid Washington State Electrical 01 License, including current continuing education units (CEUs). Since the role involves traveling out of town, adaptability and readiness for long hours will be key. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 3 years minimum experience as a Journeyman required
- Must have a valid Washington State Electrical 01 License with current CEU's
- Heavy commercial and industrial experience
- Must be willing to travel around the country
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have valid Enhanced driver's license and be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
