Day to day as a Electrical Journeyman
As a new Electrical Journeyman at Cannon Construction, your daily expectations will revolve around delivering quality work while prioritizing safety. You'll start your day by reviewing project blueprints and plans, ensuring a thorough understanding of the tasks at hand. Collaborating with your team, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
You will be responsible for adhering to safety standards on-site, particularly when accessing Military bases. Regular inspections of electrical components will be a crucial part of your routine to ensure compliance with local codes. Additionally, you will document your work accurately, maintaining records for prevailing wage requirements.
Your hands-on experience will grow as you tackle various projects, all while fostering a spirit of teamwork and professionalism within the organization.

A minimum of 5-7 years of electrical experience is essential, along with a valid Washington State Electrical 01 License, including current continuing education units (CEUs). Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 3 years minimum experience as a Journeyman required
- Must have a valid Washington State Electrical 01 License with current CEU's
- Heavy commercial and industrial experience
- Must be willing to travel around the country
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have valid Enhanced driver's license and be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
