What You'll Do
As a Fleet Service Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and fleet vehicles to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, service, and repair Ford fleet vehicles
- Perform DOT annual inspections
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Complete welding and fabrication projects
- Respond to emergency repair calls when needed
- Use computer-based diagnostic and technical systems
- Install and repair engines, transmissions, axles, hubs, injectors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and related components
- Perform MIG, TIG, arc welding, brazing, aluminum welding, plasma cutting, and torch work
- Ensure all equipment meets OSHA, WISHA, DOT, state, and local safety standards
- Maintain accurate communication regarding repairs and equipment status
- Assist other maintenance personnel and departments as needed
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Experience working on a wide variety of equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable troubleshooting and problem solving
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic hydraulic system knowledge
- Ability to adapt and learn new systems and technologies
- Must be able to do annual Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
