Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the ductwork or piping system
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using various tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, soldering irons, and welding machines
- Perform machining operations to shape and size metal parts as needed
- Build and install ductwork or piping systems according to established codes and standards
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that fabricated components meet specifications
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication or installation processes
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques
- Experience in ductwork fabrication, pipe threading, and welding is required
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in metal fabrication
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards for fabrication work
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment
