Job Overview
Join the CannaVerde Dispensary team as a Cannabis Retail Sales Associate, where great customer service, product knowledge, and attention to detail help create a welcoming shopping experience. You’ll guide customers through our selection of flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrates, helping them find products that fit their preferences and budget. From assisting first-time visitors to serving regular customers, you’ll help build lasting relationships while keeping daily operations accurate, organized, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit.
- Explain product types, labeled potency, consumption methods, and responsible-use considerations without making medical claims.
- Recommend products based on customer preferences and introduce relevant promotions and complementary items.
- Verify customer identification and follow store procedures for purchase limits and restricted access.
- Operate the POS system, handle cash accurately, and process transactions.
- Prepare and fulfill online and in-store orders, checking products and quantities carefully.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organized displays, and keep the sales floor and work areas clean.
- Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Answer customer questions in person and by phone.
- Stay informed about new products and follow store policies and applicable cannabis regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred; dispensary experience is a plus.
- Interest in cannabis products and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain product information clearly.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially when checking identification, fulfilling orders, and handling inventory.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a proactive approach to daily responsibilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and stay productive during both busy and slower periods.
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with routine stocking tasks.
