ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Analyst to join their dynamic, innovative, team in the Atlanta, GA area. The Inventory & Logistics Analyst will be fully dedicated to execution and analysis of freight and logistics for inventory, identifying opportunities to rate shop for cost savings. It is a fast-paced and collaborative environment where coaching, developing, and growing together is a true priority. This is a hybrid role with hours typically between 8am-5pm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan inventory shipments in the most cost effective manner.
- Quote and negotiate TL/LTL logistics to move physical inventory and manage/maintain documentation associated with each shipment.
- Quote and negotiate inventory storage arrangements as necessary.
- Coordinate carriers with shippers and consignees to ensure prompt and proper movement of inventory shipments.
- Log and track inventory shipments through to POD.
- Resolve shipping errors and issues.
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards through creating and maintaining carrier scorecards.
- Coordinate transfer order fulfillment with warehouse(s) as necessary.
- Reconcile missing inventory and submit claims for reimbursement.
- Manage returns process with warehouse and internal teams.
- Coordinate with Supply & Demand to prep inventory into alternate configurations at warehouse before sales orders.
- Manage destructions of damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
- Investigate and resolve inventory reconciliation discrepancies.
- Build systems and processes to monitor and mitigate inventory variances.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams to build alignment to adhere to inventory and accounting principles.
- Lead the initiative for quarterly and annual third party audit preparation.
- Own the inventory optimization process and mitigate obsolesence, minimize exposure to write-offs, while maintaining finished goods within shelf life parameters.
- Monitor inventory levels (par values and safety stock) and throughput at 3PL/DCs.
- Manage and coordinate receiving and pick up appointments between external partners.
- Assist in request for proposal process to onboard new fulfillment and transportation providers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Analysis/Supply Chain/Inventory/Logistics
- Masters is a plus
- 5 years of Supply Chain Inventory and Logistics experience
- Strong inventory analysis and ERP skills
- APICS certification is a plus
- Commitment to excellence and high standards

- Strong organizations, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
